For $185, this thing better hold my life together

People who have this want it to go along with their leather wrapped rock from Nordstroms.

For $185, this thing better have deathnote level powers where whatever is written on the paper it holds comes true.

Leather wrapped rock? Like, someone just took some rocks off the ground and wrapped them in leather? No way.

$85.
And it sold out. At $85. Are...are we getting dumber?

This is actually friggen genius. There are many people who would see this, go hahanowaitwat (as you would) and then say fuck it, I’ll buy it. Because reasons.
I am one of those people. Not for this particular object, but for many others. If I wasn’t also a cheap ass I’d be broke

I think I’m the only person whose reaction to this is “No, because 1) I’d never use a money clip, and 2) Because it’s Prada and I reserve my money for much better Italian design houses”

NP. The unequal length ends represent the systemic inequalities in society, while the two parallel end points demonstrate the indifference death has for worldly assets. The difference in radius of the two curves expresses the profound impact small choices can have on the trajectory of one’s life. The “Prada” emblem at the top exemplifies the ultimate meaninglessness and futility of status symbols, as the paper clip quickly comes to an end after. However the status symbols themselves live on after their owner’s death. Influencing the values, aspirations, and dreams of the next generation encouraging them to follow in the footsteps of the patriarchs; thus continuing the viscous cycle of consumerism and kapitalism.

Why have Prada when you can have Land Rover for much less.
Use some of the left over money to get a Land Rover multi tool.

Well, take a look at last November, so I’d say, yes, we are.

No, we’re getting more disparate. The rich are so rich relative to normal people at this point that $85 is equivalent to pocket change. $185 is maybe a handful of change.

Bottom line, it’s a sterling silver money clip from Prada. Price checks out if you’re into that sort of thing. I’m sure not.

Its actually a novelty, paperclip-shaped money clip. I would argue that important things, like money and credit cards, belong in cases (e.g., wallets), but expensive money clips in this price range are pretty common.

Every once in a while I think, hey, maybe we should just eat the rich .
This does nothing to change my mind.
